Pakistan showbiz superstar Fawad Khan has revealed that he has been suffering from diabetes since the age of 17.
In a recent interview, Superstar Fawad Khan recalled his boyhood days and said that when he was 17, his body was going through an autoimmune response. The actor said that he was very active during his school days and was fond of sports, but after being diagnosed with type one diabetes, all his hobbies ended.
Fawaad Khan told about his illness that ‘I was given insulin injections from the age of 17 only. In the early days of diabetes, I was in a lot of pain. If the sugar level in the body is low, it seems like someone is pulling your soul. He said that ‘I used to fall on the floor too, it was very difficult to breathe and I was sweating profusely.’
The actor said that it was a difficult time which also affected his father emotionally as he had already lost one of his sons. Fawad Khan said that during his school days, he always carried a bottle with him, which contained an insulin vial, a syringe and ice, which he always carried with him.
It may be recalled that Fawad Khan started singing with his band during his school days while he entered the world of acting during his college days.
