Storyline of the drama Mannat Murad

Mannat and Murad are the protagonists of the drama. Murad has four sisters and no brother; he is the only son of her mother. He is the only source of income in our house who bears all the expenses of his home. His mother is the dominant figure in the house who makes all the decisions. Murad belongs to a middle-class family. His elder sister is married to a jobless cousin. His other sister had a love marriage but Murrad’s mother is against love marriages so his mother has no contact with her.

Murad’s two sisters are unmarried and one is overage for marriage according to society limits. Murad loves her mother so much. His mother wants to see his son married according to her desire. On the contrary there is Manna who is the only sister of four brothers. She is beautiful charming independent strong bold and intelligent as she is the only sister so everyone loves her so much. 

Murad met with Mannat at the job sight. He falls in love with her at his very first sight. His friends help him to make him befriend with Mannat. Mannat also started loving him and they both planned to marry. But they both know that families will never allow them to marry if they tell them they love each other so they hire a matchmaker and convince her to bring both families together for their marriage and the marriage looks like an arranged one.

After so many struggles they both succeeded in their plan. But complications start when Murad’s mother demands for dowry, at least they both get married. Murad’s family ruins their first night of marriage as his mother starts acting like she is ill. Mannat gets frustrated and feels disgusted when she realizes that his family is so awkward.
