The Indian actor Naseeruddin Shah is well-known in the world of Indian fringe films. He’s also been in movies that aired in other countries. At the Venice Film Festival, he received three National Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards during his career.

Naseeruddin Shah, a senior actor in the Indian film industry, termed the film awards as meaningless and a result of lobbying.

Naseeruddin Shah says that he does not go to receive awards because these awards have no importance to him, which is why he did not even go to receive his two recent awards.

The actor made an interesting comment on the awards in his recent interview, revealing that he uses film awards as a washroom handle.

Naseeruddin Shah revealed that whoever comes to his farmhouse and goes to the washroom will get this award because the handles of the washroom are made of these awards.

Naseeruddin Shah, a national and winner of three Filmfare awards, said that for him these awards have no importance nor does he take them seriously.

The actor said during the interview that no matter who the actor is, if he works hard in his work and puts his heart into the role, then he is a good actor. How can you choose one among so many good actors for the award?

Naseeruddin Shah said, “However when I received the “Padmashri” and “Padma Bhushan” awards, I felt that my late father must have been happy to see it, who used to say that if you take up this useless profession of acting, you will become a fool.”

“When I went to the Rashtrapati Bhawan to receive these awards, I looked up and imagined my father watching,” he said. However, I can no longer tolerate these competing awards.
