After Donald Parham attempted to catch a fourth-down ball in the end zone, Parham’s head smacked the ground, and has a head injury!
Donald Parham is not Stable
Donald Parham, the Chargers’ injured tight end, was carried off the field early in Thursday night’s game against the Chiefs. During a fourth-and-goal play, Justin Herbert threw a pass to Parham in the end zone, and the running back’s head collided with the ground. Ahead of the game, the Chargers stated that Parham was in stable condition while receiving testing, imaging, and examination of a brain injury at UCLA Harbor Medical Center.
When Parham attempted to grab a fourth-and-goal ball in the back of the end zone, he slammed his helmet on the ground. Before being transported from the scene on a stretcher, medical staff removed his facemask and secured him with a backboard. A large number of players from both sides sat on the bench throughout the game. Since Parham was hurt 1:33 into the game, all eyes have been on the Chargers’ 14-13 third-quarter lead against the Chiefs.

During the previous play, the Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton struck Chargers receiver Mike Williams hard in the midriff. Upon entering the Chargers’ locker room, Williams immediately proceeded to the medical tent. For the Chargers’ second drive, he returned. After Andre Roberts returned the opening kickoff 75 yards for the Chargers, a series of tragic circumstances ensued. Herbert threw an interception to Williams in the end zone after two Austin Ekeler runs for 19 yards. A short pass near the goal line was returned to Williams by Herbert, who was stunned on the following play.
According to the organization, Chargers tight end Donald Parham Jr. is now being evaluated at UCLA Harbor Medical Center after suffering a head injury. He is in good health and is expected to make a full recovery.
