Actress Preity Zinta blames Bobby Deol, Tired of name rumors
Indian entrepreneur and former actress Preity Zinta, the most popular Bollywood actress of yesteryear, blamed co-star Bobby Deol for the rumors related to her name. Let’s have a look:
Actress Preity Zinta released a video statement on social networking site X (formerly Twitter) in which she said, “Many people keep asking me whether my real name is ‘Preity Zinta’ or ‘Pritam Singh Zinta’. Yes, so I just want to clarify that Pritam Singh Zinta is not my name”.
The actress said, “I don’t know why my name is written as ‘Pritam Singh Zinta’ on Google and Wikipedia, but my real name has always been Preity Zinta.”
“I hope everyone knows my real name now, I am clarifying again that my name is Preity Zinta,” she added.
Posting the video, Actress Preity Zinta wrote in the caption, “For the past few years I have continuously read in various media articles that I have changed my name from Pritam Singh Zinta to Preity Zinta.”
Preity Zinta said, “I have mentioned many times in the media that on the sets of the movie ‘Soldier’, my co-star Bobby Deol used to call me Pritam Singh Zinta to tease me”.
The actress said, “Because of Bobby Deol, people think my real name is Pritam Singh Zinta, please! You ask Bobby Deol why he chose this name for me”.
It should be noted that Preity Zinta and Bobby Deol’s super hit movie “Soldier” was released in the year 1998. Preity Zinta got great fame due to her excellent performance in this movie.
