For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has appointed a woman Raisa Adil as the Chairperson of the Central Film Censor Board.

While talking to the correspondent Express, Raisa Adil said that the film industry of our country is developing day by day, and we want to encourage the films produced in the country to promote the film industry.

She said that we have to understand the modern requirements and only after that we can highlight filmmaking at the global level, in modern times propaganda is done through film. Countries around the world resort to film to advance their own agendas. Film is used to moderate public opinion and film is also used to spread propaganda against the enemy.

Raisa Adil said that the neighboring country India uses its film industry for anti-Pakistan propaganda. Ever since India implemented its anti-Pakistan agenda, Indian films have been banned in Pakistan, and if we have to stop the screening of Indian films in Pakistan, at least bring our film industry to this standard.

She further said that a state-of-the-art film academy has been established in Islamabad and this initiative will provide a world-class environment to filmmakers if we want to show our films to our people. Movies should be allowed to be made so that more films are made and the film industry becomes a profitable business.

She said that the film auditorium of the Film Censor Board has been upgraded and a summary has been sent for the formation of a new board.
